NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON REZONE #1066 – City of Monticello

 

 

Notice is hereby given, that the White County Area Plan Commission, on the 10th day of July, 2017, at 6:00 p.m., in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room, Second Floor, County Building, 110 N Main Street, Monticello, Indiana, will hold a public hearing on zoning map changes to the most current Zoning Ordinance Maps affiliated with the White County, Indiana Zoning Control Ordinance.

 

The proposed zoning map amendment involves consideration of a change of the zoning districts within the Monticello Corporate Boundary from: B-1 (Neighborhood Business District) to B-4 (General Business Dense Development District).

 

The proposed change of various properties to a B-4, General Business Dense Development, District is to bring current properties which have dense commercial development and which are not able to reasonably comply with B-1 or B-2 district standards but which are desirable for commercial and mixed use activity and an overall benefit to the community into a zoning district designed for such types of conditions.

 

Maps showing the parcels impacted by this proposal are available for viewing at the Monticello City Hall and the White County Area Plan Office (located on the second floor of the White County Government Center in Monticello) and will be available for the July 10, 2017 public hearing on this matter.

 

Written support, suggestions or objections to the provisions of said proposal may be filed with the Area Plan Staff at, or before such hearing and will be presented to by the White County Area Plan Commission at the time and place designated. Said hearing may be continued from time to time as deemed necessary.

 

A copy of the all documents and maps pertaining to this rezone proposal are on file for review at the Area Plan office at 110 N. Main St., Monticello. Notice is hereby given, that the White County Area Plan Commission, on the 10th day of July, 2017, at 6:00 p.m., in the Commissioner’s Meeting Room, Second Floor, County Building, 110 N Main Street, Monticello, Indiana, will hold a public hearing on zoning map changes to the most current Zoning Ordinance Maps affiliated with the White County, Indiana Zoning Control Ordinance.

 

The proposed zoning map amendment involves consideration of a change of the zoning districts from: A-1 District (General Agriculture) to A-2 District (Agricultural Industry) for the purpose of a confined feeding operation.

 

Location: That part of the South Half of the Southwest Quarter of Section 2, Township 25 North, Range 5 West of the Second Principal Meridian in Prairie Township, White County, Indiana described by:

 

Commencing at an iron rod at the Southwest corner of said Section 2; thence South 89° 58’ 20” East along the section line 376.62 feet to a mag nail with RLH I.D. and the point of beginning; thence North 00° 49’ 25” West 933.40 feet to a half inch iron pipe capped with RLH I.D. (here after referred to as an HIP) (passing through and HIP at 20.00 feet); thence South 89° 58’ 21” East 933.50 feet to an HIP; thence South 00° 49’ 25” East 933.40 feet to a mag nail with RLH I.D.; thence North 89° 58’ 21” West along the section line 933.50 feet to the point of beginning, containing 20.001 Acres, more or less.
